Musab Abu-Ali

Associate

Musab is a criminal lawyer dedicated to providing fierce advocacy and advancing access to justice for marginalized communities.

Musab completed his articles at Bariteau Dulysh Criminal Lawyers, where he worked on a range of major and complex criminal matters. During his articling term, he assisted in representing individuals facing criminal charges by conducting legal research, preparing cases for trial, and helping negotiate favourable resolutions with the Crown.

His commitment to criminal law earned him the opportunity to represent his law school in the prestigious Arnup Cup Mock Trial Competition, where he argued his case before an esteemed panel of judges. In recognition of his academic excellence, Musab was awarded the Staffieri Scholarship in each of his three years of law school.

During his summers in law school, Musab worked at a respected criminal defence firm in Mississauga, assisting counsel on trials and appeals before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. In his final year of law school, he completed a for-credit placement at the Hamilton Community Legal Clinic, where he represented low-income and marginalized clients before various administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Musab is fluent in English and Arabic.
